Artists examine “The Self Portrait” through a 10-hour performance happening, and deconstruct modes of self-portrait creation as well as approaching our collective understanding of the concept. Selected artists have been chosen for their exploration of concepts of “identity” and construction of the self within their art practice.
Some performers will inhabit a position in our physical gallery space (measuring 25sqm). Others, outside of Germany, will appear as live-stream projections. The space will be tight, creating an environment where performance naturally emerges, merging together as artists are forced to spill across each other’s boundaries.
